What NORDFIND is
NORDFIND is a product directory that brings together hand-picked products from Nordic and European online shops. The site is published in six languages: Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, German and English.
The idea is simple: the ranges in online shops are enormous, and it is hard to work out which item actually suits your situation. NORDFIND narrows the selection down and explains in its guides which product fits which situation — including the cases where the honest answer is not to buy anything.
Who is behind the site
The site is run by a private individual in Finland. This is not a company and not an online shop, but an independently maintained website.

How the site is funded
The site uses affiliate marketing. In practice this means:
- We do not sell products and do not handle payments, deliveries or returns.
- Product links lead to the partner shop's own page, where the purchase is made under that shop's terms.
- If you make a purchase through a link, we may receive a commission from the shop.
- This costs you nothing. The commission is paid from the shop's margin and does not affect the price of the product.
- Every affiliate link is marked as such on the product card.
What this means for the recommendations
A commission inevitably creates an incentive to recommend buying. That is why the guides also say plainly when a product is not worth it — when a cheaper option is enough, or when there is no need to buy anything at all.
We have not received products free of charge in exchange for reviews, and we do not accept payment for featuring an individual product.
How products are chosen
The selection is put together by hand, not from an automated product feed. Every product is added one at a time, and at that point it is checked that the product exists, that the images match the item being sold, and that the link goes to the shop in the right country.
Product descriptions are written here. Shop marketing copy is not reused, and each description tries to state one practical thing the product name does not: a limitation, the measurement that decides the purchase, or what is in the box and what is not.
No product is promoted because the commission on it is higher. The selection is limited to shops there is a partnership with, and it is fair to say so: this is not a complete comparison of the market but a narrowed selection from within it.
A guide is published in a language only once every product it links to is available in that language. A broken link in the reader's country is worse than a missing guide.
The site is not built once and left alone; it is updated continuously. Out-of-date prices are removed rather than shown incorrectly.
Where the information comes from
Product descriptions are the site's own writing. Technical details, dimensions and what is included in the box come from the partner shops' product information. Prices are indicative and can change — the price in force is always the one shown on the shop's own page.
The guides and comparisons are the site's own content. They are based on product information and general knowledge of the product category, not on personal testing. Where a guide is based on hands-on experience, this is stated in the article itself.
